Mr.Hobby – Aqueous Hobby Color – water-based acrylic resin paints that can be diluted with water. Compared to solvent-based acrylic paints, they contain fewer organic solvents and use milder solvents, so the odor is extremely low, and the paints are easy to use even at home.
Once dried, the paints become water-resistant. While they are not yet dry, they can be diluted with water and tools can be washed with plain water. Once dry, Mr. Tool Cleaner is recommended for cleaning tools. The surface is applied evenly and smoothly, with excellent gloss.
Application:
Brush: No additional thinning is required, but if the viscosity is higher, a little water or Hobby Color Thinner can be added.
Airbrush: Recommended dilution ratio 1:1 with Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner. Thinning with water is possible, but too much can slow down drying and reduce adhesion.
For a smooth result, apply 1-2 coats with a brush, 2-3 thin coats with an airbrush.
If the base color is too dark and shows through, apply additional coats.
For a matte finish, add at least 15% H40 Flat Base to the mixed color, for a semi-gloss finish – 5-10%.
⚠ Note:
Do not mix with other model paints.
